Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Transportation Planner to join the transportation team in the Los Angeles, California office.This position is expected to begin in the spring of 2025.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Provides support and guidance to project leadership for multi-site/phase or multi-modal planning projects; preparing feasibility studies, environmental studies, financial plan, Transit Asset Management plan, and funding applications

Conducts research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to infrastructure funding. Assists in the development of financial plan, grant application for major capital projects

Responsible for applying planning strategies utilizing various technologies and tools to gather and analyze data, assess outcomes, and develop reporting and visuals to effectively communicate findings

Research and collect raw data, organize, process, analyze and provide review of the data for use in projects and for further analysis.

Perform quantitative analyses and data visualization

Perform predictive energy modeling analysis and financial analysis using technical guidance and software.

Utilize programming languages to automate processes when possible.

Assist project team members with various support tasks such as development of maps, exhibits, presentation materials, and reporting.

Contribute to reports and assists in material preparation for presentations with direction from more experienced staff

Assist in stakeholder and public participation process.

QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Finance, Sustainability or related field.

Experience with discipline-specific software (i.e., CAD, ArcGIS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree in Transportation Planning, Environmental Planning, Finance, Energy, or a related field (or equivalent experience.)

Previous work experience in planning through an internship or prior employment.

Experience with the transportation project development cycle; from planning to implementation

Proficiency with technical business writing, office automation and communication software, technology, and tools

Basic understanding of programming languages and process automation

Communication skills to present technical analysis

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
