Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Butcher at Commercial Meat Co to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for and a strong background in meat preparation. At Commercial Meat Co, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare specific meat cuts by the portion

Experience cutting specialty cuts of beef such as Ribeye, New York, Porterhouse, Filets, Top Sirloins and more.

Ensure all meat products are handled and stored following food safety regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area.

Package and label meat products using CVP Machine and Layer Packing

Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Collaborate with team members to maintain high standards of quality in food production.

Experience

Previous experience in cutting meat by the portion/ounce is required.

Strong skills in meat cutting techniques and knowledge of various cuts of meat.

Familiarity with food preparation processes and safety practices is essential.

Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per year

Schedule:

10 hour shift

8 hour shift

Day shift

Morning shift

Food processing: 2 years (Preferred)

Meat cutting: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Pico Rivera, CA 90660 (Required)
