Lemon Poppy Kitchen is hiring a Chef / Kitchen Manager for our breakfast & lunch cafe.
We opened in 2012 and have been a brunch heavy hitter in the neighborhood since then. We've evolved from a tiny hole in the wall to a beautiful space with large patio, beer & wine, espresso, in house pastry team. We are very proud of our food and make everything from scratch.
We are excited to meet our next Chef / Kitchen Manager! Here are the basic responsibilities:
-hire, manage, train staff
-responsible for schedule, ordering, inventory and cost control
-responsible for delicious and consistent menu execution, specials, seasonal updates
-responsible for maintaining a clean, well organized kitchen
-must love breakfast and have breakfast experience
-must be available weekends
-be respectful of our team and customers (our team respects and expects hard work)
-Eastern European food experience a plus
-Spanish speaker a plus, Spanish communication necessary
This is an active managing role, perfect for someone who likes to cook on the line, and enjoys mentorship and training the team. We will expect you to be hands on with the team, showing and training techniques and skill as well as ensuring consistency and cleanliness.
