Katsu Nuna is a family-run Korean Katsu restaurant located in Torrance, CA, specializing in authentic Korean-style donkatsu (pork cutlets) made fresh with quality ingredients. We pride ourselves on great food, friendly service, and a welcoming kitchen team environment.
Position:
Kitchen Helper (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Location: Katsu Nuna – Torrance, CA
Compensation: Hourly pay starting at $17+/hr (based on experience) + free staff meals
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and cooking katsu, sides, and menu items according to restaurant standards
Perform daily prep work: chopping vegetables, making sauces, setting up stations
Batter, bread, and fry katsu and other fried dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Support dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties as needed
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
Help with restocking and receiving deliveries
Requirements:
Prior kitchen or cooking experience helpful but not required; entry-level welcome
Interest or familiarity with Korean or Japanese cuisine a plus
Ability to work quickly, cleanly, and stay organized
Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Available to work evenings and weekends
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
