Reports To: Restaurant Manager / Assistant General Manager/ General Manager

Job Type: Part-Time (Hourly)

Position Summary

The FOH Shift Supervisor plays a key support role in leading Front of House operations during scheduled shifts. This position helps oversee hosts, bartenders, servers, and bussers to ensure smooth, efficient service and a great guest experience. The ideal candidate has prior bartending experience, is detail-oriented, and can confidently lead a team during active service.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily FOH shift operations

Support and direct FOH staff throughout service

Assist with guest seating flow and waitlist coordination

Address guest concerns professionally and promptly

Monitor FOH cleanliness, appearance, and readiness standards

Enforce company policies and FOH service standards

Ensure staff is in proper uniform and on time

Help maintain a safe and professional environment for guests and staff

Use basic computer tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, POS system) for checklists, shift notes, and task tracking

Complete required shift paperwork and communicate shift updates to management

Assist with restocking, bar support, and light opening/closing tasks

Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

2+ years experience in a FOH restaurant role, with team lead or supervisory experience

Bartending knowledge/experience

Strong communication, time management, and multitasking skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems

Comfortable standing and walking for long periods

Available nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Must be 21+ and possess a valid California Food Handler Certification
