we are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef with a passion for Mediterranean cuisine to join our culinary team. the ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and food cost management, with a specific focus catering and events planning. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our head chef to create an exceptional dishes and ensure the highest standards of taste, presentation.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute menus with a focus on Mediterranean cuisine for catering events and regular service.
-Oversea food presentation and cooking, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
-Manage food costing and portioning to maintain profitability while delivering dining experiences.
-Train and supervise kitchen staff.
-Assist in inventory management, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste.
Requirements:
-Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar rile in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably with focus on Mediterranean cuisine.
-Strong understanding of food costing, portion control, and inventory management.
-Experience in catering and event planning.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills.
-knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
