We are a veterinary dermatology practice looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician with 2+ years of experience. Previous experience in dermatology is a plus but is not required.

Registered Veterinary Technician job duties include, but are not limited to:
-Assisting doctors with histories and exams, filling prescriptions, reviewing home care instructions with caregiver/owner, and answering questions.
-Administering medications and injections via various routes (subcutaneous, intravenous, intradermal, and intramuscular).
-Performing treatments such as ear cleanings, blood draws, IV catheter placement, cystocentesis, bandage application, etc.
-Assisting prior to & during surgery: anesthesia monitoring, intubation, fluid therapy, etc. Sedation calculations, administration, and monitoring, etc.
-Preparing allergy testing kits, immunotherapy refills, and ear medications.
-Must be proficient in anesthetic monitoring and recovery
-Must be reliable and on time. Must have a flexible schedule during the week. Commute to West LA/Santa Monica area must be feasible.
-Must be able to clearly communicate and relay information to doctors and owners, both verbally and written.
-Must be able to lift 40+ lbs
