Position: Mobile Wound Care Provider

Role: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type: Per Diem, Part-Time

Compensation: $65 to $85 an hour, commensurate with experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our mobile wound care team. In this role, you will deliver advanced wound care services, including wound graft applications, to patients in home settings, skilled nursing facilities, rehab hospitals and hospice centers. Key Responsibilities:

Wound Care Services:

Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.

Perform advanced wound care, including debridement, infection control, dressing changes, and wound graft applications.

Monitor and document wound healing progress, adjusting treatment as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on wound care best practices and prevention strategies.

Collaboration:

Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Maintain open communication with patients’ families and caregivers to address concerns and provide updates on treatment progress.

Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all care provided, adhering to legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Follow appropriate billing and coding guidelines for wound care procedures, including graft applications.

Qualifications:

Current and active Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification and active Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

Current and active CPR certification such as Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS).

Experience with advanced wound care, including wound graft application, debridement, and infection management.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a mobile care setting.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient locations.

W2 position.

Mileage compensated at $0.70 per mile for gas for driving between patient locations.
