We are a private optometry office seeking a highly motivated individual who wants to learn and grow in the field of Optometry. The ability to function in a fast-paced practice environment and promote excellent patient care are qualities a good candidate would possess. The right candidate is someone who is knowledgeable, detail oriented, reliable with the ability to multi-task, and has excellent communication skills.
Reception duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, working with patients, patient follow-up and recall and administrative and clerical cuties in a team setting. Technician duties include performing a series of preliminary exam tests before our patients see the doctor, and setting up the exam room with the results of patient data collected. The technician opens the EMR for the exam; records the reason for the visit, the chief complaint, the history of present illness and updates the EMR with any new medical history such as changes in health or new medications. They relay and communicate this information directly to the doctor. The technician is responsible for all supplies required in the exam room in preparation for the visit.
We utilize EMR in the practice and use external technology for patient scheduling and communication. Our staff is cross-trained and strives in providing the best possible experience for our patients in a caring environment.
