Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while promoting oral health. You will work closely with the dental team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of preventive care and education regarding their oral hygiene.
Responsibilities
-Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
-Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
-Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
-Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the dental software.
-Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
-Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric and general dentistry services.
-Stay updated on medical terminology, dental procedures, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Qualifications
-3-5 years of experience
-Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
-Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of anatomy related to oral health.
-Experience with dental office software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
-Knowledge of infection control procedures and best practices in patient care.
-Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but not required.
-Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
