The Position:

We are seeking a bilingual HR Assistant to join our team. The Human Resources Assistant assists the Human Resources department in various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and supporting HR functions. This role involves supporting the recruitment process, maintaining employee records, processing documentation, and providing general support to the Human Resources team.

What You’ll Do

Recruitment Support: Assist with the recruitment process, including job fairs, posting job openings, scheduling interviews, reference checks, and coordinating with candidates.

Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Documentation Processing: Assist with the preparation and processing of HR documents, such as employment contracts, onboarding paperwork, and termination documents.

Data Entry: Accurately enter and update data in HR systems and databases.

Orientation Coordination: Support the onboarding process by preparing orientation materials and assisting with new hire orientation sessions.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all HR activities.

Benefits Administration: Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including open enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

Employee Inquiries:

Responds to general HR emails daily.

Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.

General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, photocopying, and managing office supplies.

Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm (one-hour meal break)

This position is fully on-site to start

Starting Salary: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Qualifications

Bilingual in Spanish and English required

Minimum two years of successful human resources experience

Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with HCM or HRIS systems. (UKG experience a plus).

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
