We provide a trauma-responsive continuum of services to empower children, youth, and families in Southern California to lead fulfilling lives.
Role Overview: 1. Planning and scheduling maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment as follows: a. Maintaining records and inventory of parts and maintenance of all work done for the agency.
. Informing the Administration of equipment costs needed to maintain efficient operations.
. Supervising and monitoring the agency’s Preventive Maintenance program.
. Ensuring that all physical plant records are up to date.
. Securing bids as needed for repair and construction projects.
. Performing and assisting maintenance personnel with "in-house" repairs of plumbing, electrical, etcetera.
. Inspecting and maintaining functionality of all fire alarm and other emergency systems, fire extinguishers, etcetera.
. Analyzing and interpreting instructions for electrical, plumbing, and other necessary codes and building blueprints.
. Supervising Central personnel with regard to: a. Hiring department staff; b. Supervising maintenance technicians’ job
performances.
. Maintaining agency facilities, equipment, and machinery to meet county, state, and federal ordinances regarding safety and operability.
. Supervising maintenance of all agency vehicles to ensure preventative maintenance, timely repair, and absolute safety.
. Ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations and maintenance of facilities, equipment, grounds and vehicles, which includes review and utilization oversight of facility spaces an outside contractor.
. Preparing and managing operating/capital improvement budgets.
. Incorporating long- and short-term goals, managing and monitoring departmental expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and accountability.
Qualifications Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in "trades", construction, or related fields with responsibilities in facilities management; 2. Demonstrated ability to perform basic tasks in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry; 3. Ability to organize and direct a major department of a large facility; 4. Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position dealing with facility services; 5. Ability to understand technical aspects of construction, architectural drawings, government permits, etc.;
Salary: $100,000/$106,000 year
