Location: Brentwood, CA
Rate: $35 per hour (DOE)
A lovely couple residing in Brentwood, CA is on the lookout for a proactive and smart housekeeper to help with the upkeep of their 2-story 5,000sq ft home. They are looking for an individual who has a warm and caring demeanor, with a genuine passion for providing top-notch cleaning services. The ideal candidate should have the ability to follow directions and adapt swiftly to the household's specific methods while paying careful attention to detail along the way. They value long-term committed relationships, so someone ready to commit for the long haul is best suited for this position. Must be comfortable working in a household where the principals spend most of their time at home, as well as be able to work professionally alongside other staff (the husband as a full-time caregiver).
Responsibilities include:
- Perform general housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks throughout the residence as required.
- Manage laundry duties, including washing, ironing clothes, and pressing sheets using a rolling iron.
- Assist with simple meal preparation, including daily breakfast and occasional lunch prep.
- Utilize provided equipment efficiently, including a rolling iron, and steam floor cleaner.
- Complete other cleaning tasks as requested.
- Window cleaning and cleaning the barbecue grill is NOT required as they have hired staff who are responsible for these tasks.
House Details:
- About 5,000 square foot, 2-story home
- Equipped with an elevator and dumbwaiter
- The second floor features a vacuum and second Swiffer for ease of cleaning
Requirements Qualifications:
- 5+ years of private residential housekeeping experience
- Fluent in English
- Knowledgeable in non-bleach cleaning methods, but also comfortable with bleaching as needed
- Must be comfortable working with other staff within the home
- Must be legally eligible to work in the USA
- Must have reliable transportation but no driving is required for the role.
Benefits:
- Full-time W2 position
- Bi-monthly payroll
- Overtime pay (Time and a half after 8 hours, double time if ever over 12 hours)
- 2 weeks of paid vacation based on 40 hour work week
- 48 hours of sick leave
- Might consider 401K after 5th year of employment
