I am a real estate professional assisting a tenant in Inglewood, CA who has lived for five years in an unpermitted unit with significant habitability issues, service interruptions, and documented harassment from management. We are preparing to negotiate with the property owners, but we also want to initiate a formal legal action to create structure, deadlines, and momentum.
I am seeking a solo attorney to take on a limited-scope litigation role. The goal is to file the necessary claims, manage required filings and deadlines, and maintain steady legal pressure while I handle negotiations directly with the landlords.
I am NOT looking for full-scale or high-intensity litigation. I am looking for someone comfortable with:
Preparing and filing a complaint (habitability, illegal unit, rent refund, etc.)
Managing case deadlines and procedural requirements
Communicating with opposing counsel
Keeping the case active and moving forward
Working within a predictable monthly budget
Budget:
Approximately $1,000 per month for ongoing work (estimated 6 months)
$5,000 bonus from any negotiated settlement
All filing and service fees covered separately
This is a straightforward case with strong liability and solid documentation. The primary goal is a steady legal process while I handle the negotiation side.
If this is the type of work you handle, please reach out with your background and availability.
Thank you.
