We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Manager to oversee operations in our precision manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of machinists, ensure production efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily machine shop operations and staff scheduling.
Oversee production of precision parts using CNC and manual machines.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of shop equipment.
Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
Train and mentor machinists and support staff.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in machine shop management or supervision.
Expertise in CNC and manual machining processes.
Strong knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, and precision measurement tools.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
