Position Summary: Responsible for overall direction, control and management of shop activities in support of operations.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Provide production employees with guidance, direction and supervision in support of departmental operations. Responsible for proper staffing of shop Promptly address performance issues. Actively promote all company policies and expectations. Plan and schedule operations within assigned area of responsibility. Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the shop floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner. Maintain well-organized and productive work areas. Work with others to achieve department and company goals and objectives. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3-5 years supervisory experience in a millwork/cabinet shop environment. Strong management and leadership skills. Work with minimal supervision. Self-starter, visionary, good written and verbal people skills, results oriented. Ability to work under pressure with deadlines. Ability to adjust to changing schedules.
