SRCO Inc has an immediate opening for a CNC Set/Up Position / Machinist.
JOB DUTIES:
Working with minimal supervision, you will set up and run CNC DOOSAN Lathes and CNC OKUMA MC4VA 3&4 axis machines.
Perform self-inspection on parts. Verify parts are conforming to drawing specifications using measuring equipment such as calipers. Must be able to use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread and pin gauges etc.)
Must have the ability to mount and touch off tools, indicate vises and fixtures quickly and accurately. Work with close tolerances less than .001.
Run production parts. Set-up operations for others.
Communicate machine and manufacturing issues with management - Machine cleanliness
Strong communications skills
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to read and follow traveler instructions.
Ability to ask questions if not sure – if you know everything don’t apply.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.
Programming Mastercam experience is not required but is a plus.
Shop math and inspection.
Requires experience with Okuma/Fanuc controls.
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer 7 years related experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
