Experienced CNC Mill & lathe Machinist
Aerospace Machine shop located in San Fernando valley, Ca is seeking a Machinist to set-up and run CNC Mills/lathes like Haas VF-2, VF-3, VF-4 & ST-10 and Hurco VM1).
Duties include: Assist Set-up, and operate the equipment to perform precision machining operations, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools and materials onto machines.
Verify parts are conforming to drawing specifications using measuring equipment such as calipers.
Qualifications: 3-5 years experience setting up and running CNC mills in an Aerospace AS9100 manufacturing environment. – Should have experience on manual lathes and mills.
Must have the ability to mount and touch off tools, indicate vises and fixtures quickly and accurately
Run production parts
Communicate machine and manufacturing issues with management - Machine cleanliness
Must be able to use inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread and pin gauges etc.)
Strong communications skills
Ability to read blueprints
Basic math and algebra and trig
Ability to read and follow traveler instructions.
Ability to ask questions if not sure – if you know everything don’t apply.
Full-time opportunity in First shift ( 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM ).
Part time opportunity in First shift ( 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM).
Salary commensurate with experience.
