Electro Mechanic
The purpose of the Electro Mechanic is an integral part of the Maintenance team focused on predictive and preventive measures for the site. This position provides technical expertise to all groups to improve process uptime, reduce equipment downtime and extend the overall life of plant equipment and systems.
Essential Responsibilities
Adhere to and enforce highest standards in safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide
Rapid identification of machine problems to minimize equipment downtime with root cause analysis conducted to prevent re-occurrence
Partner with other Technicians and operators to resolve cross-functional problems
Use of available software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance
Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like-new status during planned downtime
Document and share troubleshooting techniques and maintain electronic library
Create SOP’s for troubleshooting machines, and upload them to CMMS System
Regular and predictable attendance, as well as required on-call availability, are essential functions of the job to ensure equipment and facility up-time

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
MAXIMO software
PCL troubleshooting and maintenance
Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members
Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical and instrumentation diagrams
Familiarity with all basic hand tools, multi-meter and PLC Hardware (I/O modules, communication modules, CPUs and safety relays)
Knowledgeable on RSLogix 5000, SIMATIC Step 7 and Factory Talk Studio
Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within the automation and electrical area of the plant or machine center
Skilled in the repair of variable frequency drives, servomotors and controllers, communication systems (ASI-bus, can-bus, profi- bus, ethernet), PLC input/output cards, and safety modules
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments and levels of the organization
Ability to rebuild centrifugal pumps over 50 HP, gearboxes, cylinders
Extensive knowledge in Pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and condensate systems
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Qualifications
4-year technical degree with 8 years of experience
2-year technical degree with 12 years of experience
Must be able to read and write in English, as well as basic proficiency in math.
Salary range
The anticipated pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.50 per hour and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, recent years of experience, as well as the specific position's business needs, scope and level.
