Fabric R & D Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabric R&D Manager/Director to lead the Development Department of textiles for Texollini Inc. As the Manager/Director, you will play a critical role in driving fabric innovation and ensuring the successful execution of our collections.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Fabric R&D:
Analyze and assess fabric requirements based on customer direction and provide mill/fabric recommendations.
Develop new fabrics based on market trend, while working closely with our merchandizing department & yarn vendors.
Collaborate closely with mills and suppliers to develop new fabrics.
Partner with Product Development to establish clear pricing and merchandising strategies for each product classification.
Update and manage the fabric library and vendor matrix.
Work closely with Production to ensure a seamless handover process.
Collaborate with corporate testing to ensure all fabrics meet the required standards.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mentality are also critical for success in this position.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge: Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fabric R&D or a related area.
Strong technical knowledge of circular knit fabrics.
Familiarity with mills and suppliers.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with great attention to detail.
Experience with raw material and garment testing.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Textile Development, Textile Management.
