This position is for experienced full charge book keepers with emphasis in construction

We're currently seeking a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper with a deep understanding or background in the construction industry to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role not only keeps our financial affairs meticulously accurate but also ensures compliance with various construction financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily accounting activities related to our construction projects, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll.
Manage all aspects of the general ledger.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy.
Implement and uphold strict cash flow management strategies.
Coordinate and execute timely billing for construction projects, including progress billing, AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing, and retention tracking.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure for construction projects.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions; payroll transactions, including salary updates, benefit deductions, garnishments, etc.
Manage job costs and conduct regular job cost reviews to provide detailed reports to project managers and stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver timely, accurate financial statements and reports, analyzing and summarizing financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Adapt to and manage financial software and technologies (like QuickBooks for Construction or equivalent).
Collaborate effectively with external auditors, tax preparers, and company stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Experience in construction finance including bookkeeping , Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
Understanding of construction accounting , including percentage of completion, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and over/under billings.
Proficiency with accounting software and excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
