Purchasing/Sales Coordinator for Construction Material Supplier

About us:

We’re a construction material supplier which allows contractors to purchase construction material from hundreds of our vendors. We are currently looking for a well-rounded project coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate would have some experience in the construction industry office environment, however, we are willing to consider other motivated job candidates. The candidate would be an integral part of our sales/marketing and purchasing team.

Responsibilities:

Compile/pull information/data from agency websites and organize for the sales team.

Calendar management.

Keep thorough notes and spreadsheets.

Sales calls for bidding projects.

Coordinate with others on the small sales team that you are a part of.

Coordinating with the accounting team

Contractor meeting / networking meeting / job walk (once a month: Southern California).

Prepare and send out proposals and quotes.

Prepare and send out purchase orders.

Set up new vendors (credit applications).

Answer customer and vendor questions.

Maintain client relationships and follow-ups post bid submission.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.

Good use of basic Microsoft Office, G Suite/Google Drive

Good at or willing to learn Asana, Slack and Quickbooks.

Sales experience a plus.

Preferably some type of experience in an office environment, the construction industry, or both.

Prefer full-time, but will consider part-time.

Local to Long Beach (or nearby) preferred.

Schedule: M-F 9-5
