Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead construction and renovation projects across our portfolio. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. The successful candidate will bring expertise in construction management, a strong technical skill set, and leadership capabilities to manage both teams and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction and renovation projects, from initial planning to final execution.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to align projects with design specifications and budgetary constraints.
- Develop detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and resolve any on-site challenges.
- Manage procurement processes for materials and equipment, balancing cost, quality, and timeliness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable building codes, permits, and regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive status reports and deliver updates to senior management.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Oversee daily maintenance and construction needs, leading a crew of 5-7 team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a preference for experience in property management or real estate.
- Expertise in electrical, plumbing, framing, and paint/patching work.
- Strong understanding of structural building systems.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- IT technical experience is a plus.
