Property Management Company Seeking Experienced Professional
We are a growing property management company looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable & Lease Compliance Specialist to join our team. This is a remote position starting at 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role with office space in the next 90-120 days.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, ensuring timely rent collection and dispute resolution.
Monitor and reconcile tenant ledgers, identifying outstanding balances, and updating payment records.
Process and deposit incoming payments while ensuring all records balance correctly.
Review late rent reports and prepare follow-ups for collections.
Manage rent adjustments, credits, and charges, ensuring accurate financial data entry.
Respond to tenant inquiries regarding payment discrepancies and account issues.
Prepare and issue rent increase notices in compliance with local regulations.
Draft and send 3-Day Notices for non-payment tenants.
Assist in the unlawful detainer (UD) process by gathering necessary documents for legal proceedings.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
Communicate effectively with property owners, tenants, and internal team members to streamline billing and compliance.
Ideal Candidate Skills & Qualifications:
High-level proficiency in property management software (AppFolio, DoorLoop, Yardi, or similar).
Strong knowledge of rental laws and compliance, particularly in Los Angeles.
Excellent communication and customer service skills when handling tenant inquiries.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain organized and accurate records.
Experience with accounts receivable, tenant ledgers, and financial reconciliations.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with strong time management skills.
Prior experience in preparing legal notices (3-Day Notices, rent increases, UD filings) is a plus.
