Property Manager (Non-Resident)

Rapidly-growing real estate company seeks a rockstar to join the Property Management team to help manage 200 apartment units on the Eastside of LA. This is a non-resident position, no apartment or rent discount provided.

We manage approximately 1,000 units, most of them are recently renovated. We purchase and renovate apartment buildings, lease them up and then provide on-going, high quality management. Our primary objective in property management is to keep our tenants, vendors and property owners happy and our buildings in excellent condition.

The Job:

Tenant Relations (handling move ins/outs, answering high volume calls/emails, assisting with tech issues such as tenants making payments or signing docs online)

Overseeing Maintenance (assigning work orders, coordinating complex tenant/vendor scheduling, ensuring tenant issues are resolved quickly, cost-effectively and satisfactorily)

Building Stewardship (long-term maintenance plans, regular property and unit inspections, budget review, etc)

Must haves:

Great people skills. You need to be patient and kind, while still able to hold a firm line and ensure the vendor or tenant feels satisfied

Crazy attention to detail- things can’t slip through the cracks

That rare ability to juggle a high volume of tasks AND assert order. Good time-management is crucial

Good computer skills- you need to know G Suite and be able to learn AppFolio if not already familiar

At least one year experience in Property Management

Working vehicle, insurance and license. You will need to visit the properties regularly (mileage is reimbursed)

Compensation:

$28/hour, full time position

Insurance benefits available after short probationary period

Accruable PTO

Good holiday schedule

Bonuses for great performance

There’s a lot of room for long-term growth here.

To Apply:

Send your resume and short cover note. The subject line of your email must read exactly: “Eastside Property Manager Application - (your name)” and your cover note must include the last show you binge-watched or concert you attended. (No judgment! This is just how we tell who read the whole ad and has that crazy attention to detail we’re looking for.)

Lastly, we’re a small, friendly team and we’re pretty selective about hiring. We each pull our weight and help each other out. We all want to be happy to show up to work. If that sounds like the right fit for you, we can’t wait to meet you. We’re looking for someone to join the team long term, if you’re looking for a quick flip job, or a place to do the bare minimum, etc best of luck to you elsewhere. Cheers!
