The Warehouse Clerk will be organizing and managing inventory in the warehouse. The clerk may have to drive to pick up materials and drop them off throughout Los Angeles at job sites. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently. Preparing and maintaining detailed records, inventory, and tool maintenance. Responsible for a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving job materials, maintaining inventory and associated records, maintenance, and inspection of tools and equipment. We are a generator repair, installation and service company, this is similar to the HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical world.
-The Warehouse Manager will be helping to set up a new inventory system from workflows and procedures to the warehouse.
· Vehicles are independent inventories that need to be managed.
· Organize and maintain inventory inside of the warehouse, less than 1000 items.
· Stock warehouse with tools.
· Ensure machinery is serviced and functional.
· Check-in inventory and label.
· Maintain vehicles; schedule to take vehicles for inspections, oil changes, and tire maintenance
· Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
· Follow all safety codes.
· Record amounts of materials or items received.
· Sort material according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
· Identify damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.
· Compile inventory balances and price lists.
· Maintain records of all activities and processes pertaining to the warehouse
· Plans out all warehouse resources and activities Identifies and implements cost reduction measures in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
· Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
· Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; and reconciling with the data storage system.
· Acts as a liaison with suppliers and transport companies and negotiates rates with representatives
· May need to travel in a company vehicle to deliver materials to job sites
· Prepare materials for installation trucks.
Forklift certification is preferred but not required.
-Servicetitan and/or quickbooks experience is preferred but not required
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Experience in the electrical, plumbing or HVAC field is preferred but not required.
Must have at least two years of warehouse experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour
