Job Description:
VetSec HD is excited to announce openings for Event Security Officers for the highly anticipated 2024 Dark Harbor event at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. This iconic Halloween event draws large crowds, and we are looking for dedicated security professionals to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees. Veterans are highly encouraged to apply, as we value the discipline, experience, and leadership skills gained through military service.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a visible security presence throughout the event to deter any potential security issues.
Monitor crowd activities and enforce event policies to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
Perform access control, checking tickets, and managing guest entry and exit points.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and any disturbances promptly and professionally.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a secure environment.
Coordinate with event staff and law enforcement when necessary.
Requirements:
Guard Card: Must have an active California Guard Card.
Experience: Previous experience in event security or a similar environment is preferred.
Availability: Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the event's run, including Halloween night.
Uniform: Must have black boots and black cargo pants.
Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the Queen Mary site.
Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure in a dynamic, crowded environment.
