Nanny/Driver for Two Active Kids in Cheviot Hills
Location: Cheviot Hills, driving to surrounding areas and the valley
Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 2pm to 7pm with some later days
Family will guarantee 35 hours per week
Compensation: $30-40/hour plus generous PTO, health stipend, major holidays off
A lovely and busy family in Cheviot Hills is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nanny/Driver to care for their two children, ages 12 and 14. The family has had a long-term nanny for the past seven years, but she has decided to shift careers, leaving this wonderful opportunity open for the right candidate. They are looking for someone who can provide dependable, long-term support, as the parents' schedules are busy with work and travel.
The position requires 30-35 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 7:00 PM, with occasional later evenings until 8-9 PM. There may also be opportunities for additional hours on certain mornings for school drop off, and one evening per week for date nights or work events. A nanny car will be provided for driving the kids to and from school, sports practices, and other activities around the West Side and Encino area. A clean driving record is essential!
The main responsibilities include picking the children up from school, transporting them to activities, and assisting with homework. While the family does not require someone with a teaching background, they are looking for someone capable of supervising schoolwork and ensuring the kids stay on top of their studies (knowing when they have quizzes or tests coming up). Light meal or snack prep may be required after school before pick up. While overnights and weekend work are rare, there may be the occasional need for weekend coverage, such as once a year if mom and dad spend a weekend away.
The ideal candidate is a career nanny/family assistant with a strong background in long-term roles, who is responsible, trustworthy, and experienced working with middle school age children. MUST be 100% comfortable with driving, sometimes in traffic. The family values someone who is engaging and friendly, as their children are outgoing, social, and very conversational.
This is a long-term role with generous PTO as the family travels for most school holidays and various times throughout the summer. Lovely opportunity to join a very kind, active family!
