POSITION SUMMARY
The onsite Technical Sales Support position is responsible for technical assistance in support of gaining new customers and and/or advising on custom wire and cable jobs. Provides clarity in understanding the customer’s need to be able to provide specialized solutions. Responds to all technical queries posed by, company personal, customers and/or suppliers.
POSITION DUTIES
o Assist the Company with customer and supplier interaction regarding cable and wire specifications andperformance.
o Communicate and assist customers effectively with inquiries on custom jobs or performance criteria via email /telephone and to assure accurate details for design, support, and quotation.
o Review and produce 2D CAD drawings from customer details provided so that a custom wire and cable product can be quoted and manufactured.
o Liaising with suppliers to advise lead times and availability to customers and colleagues.
o Create Shop Floor Work Orders based on customer quotations and drawings.
o Working with other departments and using company information management systems to affirm prices, part numbers, and availability to customers over the phone.
o Ensuring that customers receive the highest quality outcome and value every time to ensure repeat business.
o A supporting member of the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
o Providing excellent customer service and after sales support.
QUALIFICATIONS
o Experience in the wire and cable industry.
o Knowledge/experience with industry material and regulatory requirements.
o Experience with wire and cable equipment products, drawings, and specifications.
o Knowledge/experience with Aerospace, Military, and UL/CSA certifications.
