JOB SUMMARY

A Fabricator/Welder will construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures and components of structures made of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal materials.

They will provide the primary building of a structure at the beginning and first phases of fabrication.

We are looking for a strong Fabricator/Welder that is passionate about the finished product! The ideal person is a great leader, has a strong work ethic, and pays close attention to detail. They are not afraid to roll up their sleeves, work alongside a team and ensure quality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow fabrication drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions to build structures, and mechanical component assemblies

Upholding and maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all work locations

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required for cutting, shaping and joining materials

Display willingness to learn new skills and building methods

Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of steel, aluminum, stainless steel and other materials

Use of common metal working tools, including, but not limited to:

i. Wet Saw

ii. Grinders

iii. Tap and Dye Kit

iv. Vices

v. Sawzall

vi. Impact Drill

vii. Drills

viii. Pipe Bender/Roller

ix. Sheet Cutters

x. Sheers

xi. MIG Welder

xii. TIG Welder

xiii. Stick Welder

xiv. Basic Hand Tools (Ratchets, Wrenches, Pliers, Etc.)

Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, and managers

Ability to understand fabrication drawings and site plans

Upholding and maintaining a clean work environment at all locations

Fabrication of scenic displays, signage, stages and event items

Installation of scenic displays, signage, stages and event items

Ability to perform to expectations in a shop and field environment

Must be willing to work 8+ hour days and occasional weekends as needed

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

The experience of a Fabricator/Welder is crucial to project execution. Apart from the “essential duties and responsibilities” a Fabricator/Welder should have the ability to;

Schedule, multitask and is highly organized

Good time management skills

Critical thinking skills, and a good problem solver

Comprehension skills to follow safety regulations, instruction and interpreting fabrication drawings

Verbal communication, social and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow directions

Forklift Operation

Scissor Lift Operation

Understanding of Fabrication / Installation drawings

Understanding of construction procedures and applications

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Educational, and Physical Requirements:

Verifiable TIG welding experience

Verifiable MIG welding experience

Verifiable STICK welding experience

Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in fabrication

Must be able to read and follow fabrication drawings

Regular use of a variety of both hand-held and motorized tools and machinery is required

Standing for extending periods of time is common

Lifting of up to 50 pounds is required

Valid driver's license and insurance

Great work ethic

Great organizational skills

Paying close attention to details

Strong Leadership

PREFERRED

High school diploma/GED preferred

5+ Years of verifiable experience in metal work

OSHA 10 Certification

OSHA 30 Certification

Aerial Work Platform Certification

Forklift Operator Certification

Educational background and/or completion of an apprenticeship or vocational school program

Mechanically inclined or experience in a mechanical field is preferred
