Location: Private Ranch (Tujunga, CA)

Position: Full-Time, Contract

Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year, with opportunities for project-based bonuses

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ranch Manager to join our team at a private ranch. This is a full-time contract position with flexible hours (minimum of 40 hours per week). The role is focused on overseeing various agricultural and construction projects on the property. As the Ranch Manager, you will manage new construction projects, agricultural upkeep, and maintenance, while working directly with the ranch owners.

Responsibilities:

Construction Project Management: Oversee a variety of construction projects, including new irrigation systems, deck construction, barn maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades (e.g., well and pump house improvements).

Labor Management: Hire and manage temporary laborers for various tasks, including gardening, construction, and maintenance projects. Ensure that laborers are well-managed, efficient, and meet quality standards.

Quote Management: Gather quotes from contractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.), review and negotiate pricing, and present them to the ranch owners for approval.

Equipment Operation: Operate Bobcat tractors and other necessary equipment for the completion of ranch tasks.

Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.

Communication: Maintain clear and regular communication with ranch owners regarding project updates, labor management, and any challenges that arise.

Bilingual: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish, as communication with contractors and laborers will often require Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications:

Construction or Trades Experience: Previous experience in construction or trades (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) is essential.

Labor Management Experience: Proven ability to hire, manage, and supervise temporary laborers and contractors.

Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish.

Equipment Proficiency: Must be comfortable and skilled in operating Bobcat tractors and other ranch equipment.

Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both English and Spanish-speaking teams.

Independent Worker: Ability to manage projects independently and demonstrate reliability and accountability.

Additional Details:

Full-time, Contract Position: Flexible hours, but a minimum of 40 hours per week is expected.

Location: Private ranch, working directly with the owners.

Pay Range: $70,000 - $95,000 per year, with potential for project-based bonuses.
