We are a 35 year old machine shop and the owner started an additional company in 2017 that manufactures welding machines and now things are booming. We are looking for a Project Manager with knowledge in metal fabrication, welding and manufacturing processes. Bilingual, English/Spanish would be very helpful but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with internal fabricators in an effort to confirm project approach is feasible and the most efficient way to complete the project
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors and be able to communicate technical information
- Oversee production workflow and coordinate resources including; internal personnel, suppliers, contracted services
- Work with purchasing and production departments to increase efficiency while setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
- Serve as a liaison between the owner and production throughout the process of the project, from start to finish
- Review internal shop documents to be utilized throughout the fabrication process
- Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
- Adjust project schedules and deadlines to accommodate changes in production related to client and/or internal factors
- Work as part of a team and be flexible to step in, when necessary, to perform other responsibilities
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in a fabrication/production/manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable of various welding and fabrication processes, tools, and equipment
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Be a team player
- Understands how to read shop drawings
- Must be able to manage multiple work priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available 40+ hours per week
