Architectural, Custom, General sheet metal worker needed. Some experience in this specific trade is required. Not interested in any other tradesman, office staff, managers, estimators, machinists, or wherehouse workers. No roofers, framers, concrete guys, plumbers, electricians, drywallers, tile guys, door installers ect.
Specifically, competent sheet metal field installers. If you are not familiar with this specialty trade, or have no experience in it, no need to inquire. Idk how to make it any clearer. I am not willing, able, or interested in training anyone to do my trade.
Not trying to be a jerk, just upfront and clear. Too many inquiries with no experience in actual installation of deck flashings, scuppers, sill flashings, top tile, tile pan, z bar, riglet, valley, saddles, crickets, parapet caps, equipment pad covers, chimney caps, profile tops, kitchen hoods, ventilation, basic lay-out, wall panel, roof panel, gutters, downspout, leader heads, ect.
Some experience with soldering is a plus. Just roof panel and or ACM panel doesn’t cut it. If you have at least some experience with most of it, hit me up. If not, no need to. And yes, all it takes is a few complete projects to get some experience with almost all of it. So it’s not an unreasonable expectation. That’s what we do. If you’re an actual metal man, you have done it all.
I’m forty years in, actual fabrication and installation, and still going. I’m a small shop that does big work, small work, and everything in between. No interest or time for nonsense, and no place to hide. So please, no bs, and you won’t get any either.
It’s simple. Just looking for metal men to help. That’s it. Everyone seems to not understand what that actually is. So, I did my best to make it very clear. You don’t need a hundred years in, just a few, but directly in, and specifically in sheet metal. That’s what I am looking for.
Part-time, possible full time.
Requirements, English speaking and comprehension. Must be 100% sober at work, not hung over or wake n bake. Reliable transportation. Basic sheet metal tools such as snips, square, mag hammer, drill, riveter, tape, bags, and basic understanding. Must be willing and able to follow direction, and complete tasks given in a responsible and SAFE manner. Most work is mixed use multi-unit buildings and custom homes. Must be willing, able, and comfortable with climbing scaffolding, stairs, ladders, and roofs with tools on.
All work is located in and around West LA. & Hollywood. Some Malibu & Venice. Mostly new construction.
No pay for sitting in traffic, or sitting in your vehicle on site. Only actually working. Most times you travel straight to the jobsite, and straight home from the jobsite. If shop work is needed, then drive time to the job is covered for that day. Hours are 7-3:30, or, 8-4:30, depending on city ordinance start time. Half hour lunch. 8 hrs pay for 8 hrs work. Where the job is in relation to traffic or your home is no concern of mine. Idk why, but most people need that told to them. Seems common sense to me, but there it is explained so you understand what you’re getting into prior to contacting me.
If we have already worked together in the past, there is a reason we no longer do, and I prefer it stays that way.
If interested inquire via text, email, or leave a message and I will get back to you when I can.
