The Scalehouse Attendant will/must:
manage automated truck loading and unloading racks, bill of ladings, and other documents
prepare and verify paperwork for loading/unloading
scan BOL’s and other relevant paperwork and either upload to the relevant electronic folder or email to designated recipients/personnel
clean pumps, meters, valves, pipes, filters, fittings, and truck rack strainer screens to ensure continued operations
monitor all incoming and outgoing visitors and contractors
verify driver access cards and update the carrier tracking system, when applicable
perform daily checks for leaks on all racks, notify management if found, and perform clean up
empty trash cans and perform housekeeping chores
operate equipment such as forklift or telehandler, once qualified
monitor rainwater drainage as per the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
assist Terminal Operator with operations, including opening and closing valves, as and when instructed
perform tank gauging and sampling when requested
assist drivers loading trucks and troubleshoot when problems arise
report all safety hazards to management immediately. Verbal notifications will be followed up with an email or text message.
complete a shift log, walkaround checklist, and other documentation as directed by Management
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and DOT drug test.
Must be comfortable walking 2-3 miles per day.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to chest height.
Must be comfortable working solo as well as in a team.
