The Information Systems Department (ISD) is currently seeking dynamic Information Technology Managers to join our organization to lead teams across multiple business units. This position manages the Service Desk and Desktop Support teams (approximately 16 staff) and works closely with County departments to ensure the technical and business needs of the County are being met. The ISD Service Desk is a single point of contact for tier 1 and tier 2 technical support. Staff on this team work in a dynamic, fast-paced call center providing support for common requests including resolving problems remotely, answering questions, and ultimately ensuring IT needs are met as quickly as possible. The Desktop Support Team helps clients with end user technology on the County's primary network including 3,500 desktop and laptop computers, hundreds of software applications, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals. Support includes configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, procurement, deployment, updates, upgrades, and licensing.Primary responsibilities for the Client Support Services Manager include:

Determining customer service requirements and achieving customer service objectives through customer/vendor relationsPreparing and completing action plansImplementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standardsResolving problemsCompleting auditsIdentifying customer service trendsDetermining system improvements, and change management.

Infrastructure and Data Center Manager

This position oversees our Network Infrastructure and Data Centers managing operations that includes administration of the County's onsite and remote data centers and oversight of technology housed there including servers, storage, power systems, environmental controls, and physical security. Network infrastructure involves data, video, and voice communications utilizing routers and switches, wireless devices, and VPN communications required to connect various information systems across County departments and agencies, external government partners, and other entities within the local community.Additional Positions

Due to expanded needs associated with a recent departmental reorganization, the Information Systems Department anticipates using this list for possible additional vacancies. We may seek to fill an Information Technology Manager position within any of the following service lines. Applications Development, Integrated Justice Systems, Web Development, GIS, Enterprise Document Management, Records Management, Public Safety, Communications, Disaster Recovery, Security, or Database Administration.The most qualified candidates will have:A broad technical backgroundThe ability to work together closely with business partners, vendors, and staff to effectively leverage servicesExperience in strategic planning, business service promotion, solutions engineering, personnel management, and contract managementExtensive knowledge of a variety of core infrastructure concepts, regulations, standards, practices, and procedures
