SUMMARY: Under supervision, performs tasks and operations within the Encapsulation department; and performs related duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (which are not in any hierarchical order)
o Training and understanding of c-GMP and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that apply to personnel in the Encapsulation department.
o Assure that all products are encapsulated correctly.
o Check production/work order for correctness and follow written instructions.
o Work closely with Encapsulation Supervisor and Quality Control to assure specifications are met.
o Fill hoppers with mix.
o Fill out relevant documentation as prescribed by a production/work order and the SOP's.
o Maintain relevant production and cleaning logs.
o Comply with all safety procedures and programs while in the plant and operating machinery.
o In-process checks for dimensions and mass of tablets.
o Maintain encapsulation press and re-tool machines according to relevant training and procedures.
o Any other tasks or work as deemed fit by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Basic math skills.
o Strong organizational and communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There is occasional need to stand, stoop, walk, lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Formulation Technology promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
o High School Diploma or GED
o Experience is preferred.
o Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
