C&Y Global Inc. is one of the fastest growing scrap-metal recycling companies, with warehouses in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Kansas City, Newark, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Oklahoma. We currently have a physically demanding position in our Warehouse which requires physical labor and handling of metal materials, as well as Bobcat and Forklift proficiency and the ability to withstand the elements. Position: Warehouse Worker/Forklift/Bobcat Operator
Location: C&Y Global California, Inc.: 6185 Industrial Way, Livermore, CA 94551
Hours of Operation: Monday thru Friday; 8:30am-5:30pm
Responsibilities and Duties
Verifies items received by comparing the purchase order and the packing list/invoice
Inspects condition of items and resolve the discrepancy (in weight, quality or unit price
Update data in the system and prepare label for the received items.
Physically Load and Unload scrap metal materials in shipping containers
Sort scrap metal materials according by type of material
Operate forklift to move material
Operate Bobcat to move material
Inventory management, process improvement
Lift 70lbs or greater
Qualifications and Skills
Entry Level Position
High School Diploma or Equivalent, plus minimum 2-3 years Construction experience
Be proficient in data entry with minimal errors, and detail-oriented
Can work under high time pressure, and keep high work quality under minimum supervision
Well-organized, initiative, strong sense of responsibility
Excellent communication skills
Must be willing to undergo a drug test and background check
Ability to pass a math and computer test
Physically fit and able to withstand the elements of the weather
