Description Robert Half is searching for Accounts Payable Specialists to start immediately for an assignment that offers great long-term potential. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. The Accounts Payable Clerk reports to the Accounting Manager in this fast paced and expanding department. The assignment offers an opportunity to transition full-time. PO matching and entering of inventory invoices
Resolving PO cost and quality discrepancies on inventory invoices
General ledger account coding and entering of expense invoices
Preparing invoices for weekly check runs
Reconciling vendor statements
Entering and paying monthly sales representative's commission
Professionally communicating with vendors for any issues related
Maintaining and filing accounts payable files
Provide document and backups for any internal and external auditors
Schedule and oversee all check, ACH and credit card payments by monitoring discount and due dates
Provide quarterly Inventory in Transit list
Other special projects as requested.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Self motivated
High school diploma; Associates degree in accounting is preferred
3 to 5 years work experience in general accounting
Proficient in Excel
Manufacturing experience a plus
JDE experience a plus
Excellent team player
Effective communication skills
