1.2 Position Summary
Assist in all areas of food preparation and service for Home Delivered, Congregate meal program, and School production with the focus on hot food preparation & packaging.
1.3 Essential Functions
Preparation of food for all meal productions.
Assurance that food is prepared and ready for the production line in a timely manner
Cleaning and sanitation of all areas of production
Cleaning and organization of walk-in freezer
Set up and breakdown of Home Delivered and Congregate meal lines
Serving on both home delivered and congregate meal lines
Adherence to food handling and personal safety practices
Ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals
1.4 Required Knowledge/Experience
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to communicate effectively with volunteers, clients and staff
Ability to safely lift 50 pounds
Good organizational skills
Experience and knowledge of quantity cooking and commercial food preparation
Punctuality and sense of urgency required
Superior time management and multi-tasking skill required
3 Years kitchen experience minimum
1.5 FLSA
