Barista/Cashier
Description and Summary:
We are a family-owned company focused on great food, excellent customer experience, and a balanced work life. We are looking for a barista/cashier to assist with the daily operations of a café, located on the campus of Monterey Peninsula College. Because this location is in a community college, we do close in between semesters and for holidays. Daily operations are normally Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities:
Greet and help customers
Operate a cash register
Prepare coffee and tea beverages to order and reheat some food items
Perform side work
Maintain cleanliness of work station and all customer-facing areas
Perform set up and breakdown of coffee station
Communicate with support crew and management
Assist with packaging sauces and baked good
Maintain knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
