Position Summary:
Morning prep cooks can work independently and efficiently. Morning prep cooks assist line cooks in preparing their stations and ingredients. A prep cook may make sauces, prepare the dough, cut produce, pick herbs, butcher meat, and portion out ingredients so that a line cook can take the items to their station.
Understand basic cook times, knife work, and food temperature for cooking and holding.
Efficiently execute prep lists.
Able to follow recipes
Maintain a clean and organized workstation following the health code
Help create and maintain a culture of learning, caring, and a good work ethic
Assist with delivery breakdown and organization of pantry and refrigeration units
Ability to maintain proper FIFO and minimize food waste
Track inventory and communicate about all inventory needs of all items
Ability to receive and give professional feedback
Sustain a safe and clean work environment with team and guests in mind
Meet uniform requirements and maintain clean and hygienic practices
Maintain communication with other team members regarding present and future food, service, and prep needs
Accountable for checklists and SOPs
Part-time. 16-20 hours per week. More hours may be available during busy season.
Rate: $20 + tips
