We are seeking a compassionate and experienced caregiver to assist a 85 year old male patient with Parkinson's disease and dementia. If you're dedicated to providing exceptional care, we want to hear from you!
Location: Seaside
Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday: Full days 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care, including bathing, hygiene care, dressing, and feeding assistance
Help with food preparation and ensure proper nutrition
Cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment for patient and his wife. this includes washing sheets, washing dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and several basic house tasks.
Assist with medication and basic health monitoring such as blood pressure, glucose test
Offer companionship and emotional support
Provide general assistance with daily living activities
Patient has no control of bladder and bowel movement, so caregiver must be willing to bathe or clean patient a few times a day to avoid any infections.
Qualifications:
Prior experience caring for elderly patients, especially those with Parkinson’s disease and dementia, is preferred but not necessary
Female candidates only
Must be reliable, compassionate, and patient
Ability to work independently while ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient
Compensation:
Pay based on experience. Cash position for now until IHSS gets approved (currently on waitlist)
