Job DescriptionSummary/Objective:The Maintenance Foreman oversees, trains and motivates employees in the department to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while assisting with day-to-day duties and special projects.Essential Job Functions:Under direction of the Maintenance Manager, assigns work and tasks to Maintenance employees.The Maintenance foreman will is an active participant in planned work and carries out preventative maintenance activities for the facility and asset center equipment to keep all assets operational respond to breakdown trouble calls and bring machines back to their proper running state. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing and fixing problems related to electrical and mechanical equipment or process failure.Dismantle, repair, and re-assemble gear boxes, blowers, conveyors, belts, pumps, valves, and other winery equipment.Promote and support CBI culture of accountability through our best practices model.Participate and collaborate with operations personnel to ensure efficient production and reduce equipment downtime.Supports the Maintenance Planner in development of work schedules and parts management using a CMMS system.Understand the environmental requirements they relate to scheduling and completing work orders.Promotes safety in the workplace by understanding and aligning with safety procedures and reporting all incidents in a timely manner.Check quality and quantity of work performed at various functions.Ensure compliance with Safety rules and procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and Good Management Practices (GMP’s),Train employees in proper work techniques, sustainability and safety.Monitor employee relations and take disciplinary issues to Manager/Supervisor.Responsible for compliance with CBI sustainability policies and practices which are economically viable, socially acceptable and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.Core Competencies:Capable of communicating both oral and written instructionBasic computer skillsBuilding relationships & teamwork with other departmentsDiagnosis of electrical motor control problemsThorough Knowledge of pneumatic principles application troubling shooting and repairAbility to weld (gas. Mig, Tig)Work safely with both low and high voltage (460volts) AC and DC circuitsInitiative and results orientationPlanning and organizingPreferred Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED2 – 5 years’ experience in MaintenanceMust have plumbing, welding, and electrical motor control experience.Read and understand electrical schematics/mechanical blueprints.HVAC experienceMust be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment.Must be able to meters and hand tools.Must have basic math and writing skills.ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances. The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy. Involves exposure to hazardous conditions.
