Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

8 years of experience in system software development including kernel, driver, and system services using C/C.

5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

3 years of experience working with SoC hardware level software components.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in software development with Python or Java.

Experience in developing Linux kernel software, Linux driver development, and debugging.

Experience in software/hardware co-design or influencing hardware design from software perspective.

Experience with system components like CPU, GPU, TPU, memory, or PCIe.

Working knowledge of android software and hardware architectures.

We aim to make people's lives better through technology.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $185,000-$283,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Contribute to the software and hardware architecture designs for Google’s future SoCs and software features.

Build prototype/production software across the android stack including kernel, BSP, framework, and application to prove the feasibility of designs.

Build prototype/production software for embedded software stacks running inside Google’s SoCs.

Collaborate across organizations and teams to move the architecture design into production.
