Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. If you're interested in work where you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, you will succeed in this position. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will handle 200+ invoices a week, so we are seeking candidates who are self-starters, with high attention to detail. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the North Hollywood, California area.What you get to do every single day
Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
Verify codes and documents
Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
Excellent attention to detail
ERP system experience
Aging Reports experience preferred
Strong familiarity with debits
Credit experience
Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
