Description We are partnering with a prestigious East Bay Area law firm to source a highly skilled Healthcare Transactional Attorney to join their firm on a contract to hire basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced attorney with a strong background in healthcare transactions to contribute to a dynamic and growing legal team.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
Advise clients on health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance.
Provide regulatory guidance in the areas of fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and healthcare antitrust.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transactional activities.
Draft, review, and negotiate complex transactional documents and agreements.
Collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to develop creative solutions and meet client needs.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5+ years of strong healthcare transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for healthcare stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
Experience with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance is preferred.
Strong regulatory experience in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and healthcare antitrust is a plus.
California Bar membership in good standing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and superior legal research and analytical skills.
Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively.
Strong interest in and enthusiasm for health care issues and trends.
