Your Role

We are looking for a data-centric digital product zealot to join our team and help us measure and improve our online shopping experiences! Our Digital Sales team is re-imagining our Digital Products to make it easier for Consumers to understand, select, and purchase Blue Shield of California health insurance products. Specifically, we are looking for someone who can analyze a website's design, generate insightful analytics to better understand its users, and report back with easy-to-understand data visualizations and clear recommendations. The Product Manager, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Product Management for Consumer Acquisition. Successful candidates must have

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy


Your Work

To succeed in this role, you will need to consistently demonstrate the following.

STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP
  • Determine and analyze KPIs at a product level to establish digital experience success, failures, and next steps through iteration
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships across departmental teams, with the development team, and internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and drive User Experience (UX) research and design to craft high quality, engaging user experiences

MEASURABILITY
  • Utilize tools for web analytics to inform product decisions and show measurable outcomes of product releases
  • Provide detailed data analysis and ensure that proper user tracking is implemented throughout our web properties including GA tagging and other measurability design
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and reporting solutions using a variety of tools to gain deeper insights into user experience, segments, and performance
  • Report findings with data visualizations that are compelling and easy to understand
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to continuously drive product improvements
  • Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams and researchers do define, generate, and communicate digital funnel performance

COMMUNICATION
  • Articulate business goals, strategies, and logic across internal and external teams
  • Create and deliver clear and compelling presentations to the appropriate audience
  • Independently convey product strategy clearly through written and verbal communication

EXECUTION
  • Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria covering multiple user-types
  • Participate and engage in agile ceremonies; facilitate those required for product artifacts as they support product outcomes
  • Utilize product management tools to create, manage, and prioritize agile team backlog


Your Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related fields
  • Requires at least 5 years of experience in product management or digital sites
  • Three years of experience working in digital analytics and reporting
  • Experience with major web analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Glassbox, etc)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, etc)
