A locally owned construction company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our growing team. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial growth of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing, coding, and payment/collection follow-up.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Part-Time Accountant or similar role. (Will have to demonstrate skills during interview)
Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and related office software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Assist with budget preparation and monitoring.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred. (Not required in lieu of verifiable experience)
Schedule:
Part-time to start. 20 hours per week, with the potential for more hours as the company expands, 4 days a week. (flexible schedule available after probation period of 30 days)
