Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Vehicle Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Lead Vehicle Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and testing of our recreational/commercial vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, performance, comfort, and safety. In this position, you will be responsible for leading the development to manufacturing standards for projects within recreational and commercial vehicle designs.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development: Lead the design and development of new RV/commercial models, including conceptualization, prototyping, and finalization of vehicle layouts, structures, and systems.

2. Engineering Analysis: Conduct engineering analysis, simulations, and evaluations to optimize configuration performance, efficiency, and durability.

3. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, overseeing their work and ensuring adherence to design specifications and industry regulations.

4. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions and timely delivery of RV models.

5. Testing and Validation: Develop and oversee comprehensive testing and validation protocols to verify the performance, reliability, and safety of RV components and systems.

6. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices, ensuring that all RV designs and processes comply with legal and safety requirements.

7. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of RV engineering processes and products.

8. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports, to support product development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience (5+ years) in vehicle engineering and hands-on, preferably within the automotive or recreational vehicle industry.

- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and engineering analysis tools

- In-depth knowledge of metal/wood fabrication, structural analysis, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., RVIA, FMVSS, ANSI, ASTM).

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Knowledge of 12v and 110v electrical and electrical standards on switches, wiring, panels, etc.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
