We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager to lead and manage the Project Management Department. This role will oversee project managers, field operations, production, and health & safety requirements. This role is also responsible for the training and implementation of all project management, superintendent, and foreman procedures and requirements.
Duties are, but are not limited to:
Improvement & development of Operations.
Responsible for regularly visiting job sites to ensure projects are compliant and accuracy of job reports.
Daily tracking and optimization of operations
Utilize software tools
Promote constant motivation among staff to strive for an efficient and effective Operations.
Keep Projects on schedule and within Budget.
Manages Project team and works with estimators, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, city inspectors, and owner’s representatives to monitor construction progress
Ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Planning, organizing and controlling of Warehouse over-all operations.
Ensure that workplace’s health and safety requirements are met
Follow up ERP program against with actual activities.
Implement cost reduction principle in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities.
Always research to improve all operations according to company’s objectives.
Negotiation of rates with common carrier representatives.
Create team with safety and efficiency as priorities.
Requirements:
Construction industry and Management experience required
5+ years of Project Management experience
Proficient in MS Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed
Excellent communication skills required
Excellent attention to detail
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Able to manage time, prioritize, and adapt to change
Great attitude
Physical Requirements:
Warehouse and Indoor office environment
Standing for prolonged periods of time
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Frequent typing and computer usage
